Your Invisalign Journey

  • At your consultation we will have a chat about what you want to achieve from your treatment, take photos, X-rays and digital scans, of your teeth. These records will be used to create a ClinCheck 3D treatment plan, just for you. This Clincheck animation can be sent to you in order to view your predicted outcome before you even start your Invisalign treatment. Here you will be able to see the step-by-step transformation of your smile.

  • Once you have decided to proceed, we will invite you back to see our Invisalign doctor where you will receive your first few sets of aligners. You will be given a demo of how to put the aligners in, remove them and cleaning instructions. You will be advised to wear the aligners for the recommended 22 hours per day for 7-10 days before moving on to the next aligners in the series. Each aligner moves the teeth a little closer to their perfect position.

  • You’ll visit us every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and receive new aligners. Treatment can take on average 6-18 months but you will notice a change in your smile after a number of weeks. After finishing your treatment plan, you will be given retainers to wear at night to maintain your new smile.

  • Some people may experience temporary, minor discomfort for a few days, at the beginning of each new stage of treatment when they insert a new aligner. This is normal and is typically described as a feeling of pressure. It is a sign that the aligners are working – moving your teeth gradually, helping you to achieve the final results. This discomfort typically goes away in a couple of days.

  • The cost of Invisalign is dependent on the complexity of your case. As a general rule the cost is comparable to traditional fixed braces. And, although only an Invisalign Provider is able to fully determine your cost, prices for Invisalign treatment are generally between £2,500 - £4,500. However, if only minor tooth movement is required, prices could start from £1,500.

  • The first thing people notice about you is your smile. An attractive smile gives you more confidence both in your personal and professional life. Invisalign aligners are made of a clear flexible plastic that is virtually invisible when worn unlike traditional braces. 

  • You will be advised to wear each set of aligners for 7-10 days before moving on to the next one in the series.

  • The total duration of treatment depends on the complexity of the case and is generally comparable to that of traditional braces. Typically, treatment can last between 3 and 18 months. During your consultation, you will be given more detailed information.

  • In general, you will need to wear your retainers regularly for the first few months. After this you will be advised to wear them every night for a few years to prevent and relapse or movement of your teeth.
